Nautical Trimsheet Demo

A small diorama I made to show trimsheet mapping using curves for things like tenctacles and using a simple decal mask for edge damage in the scene. Trimsheets are one of my favorite things to make becuase they can create large diverse environments with just a few textures. Hope to create a much larger and diverse example in the future with more details.

Window texture is already on gametextures.com and the nautical trim should be up soon once finalized!

This scene uses 5 mats, the nautical trimsheet, some glass, aged wood, floor boards, and then a decal damage mat.

Everything is mapped using tilables.

The ornamnets are decals from the nautical trim using an opacity mask

The decal shader is a simple black and white mask. IN UE4 I plug that into opaciity along with a normal, that goes on top of any other mat I want in UE4

Tentacles are just tubes from the nautical trim that I use a curve modifier on to place and change shape. I cap off the ends once in place.
