Rocky Ground Photogrammetry

After 6 months from major spine surgery I have returned from the dead! What better way to break in the new spine than by lugging a camera around to start my first attempts on photogrammetry materials.

Wanted to figure the best way to keep my process organized. I started off rendering my maps in just zBrush, but found baking out normal, height, and albedo gives far better detail. Plus when you drop in your obj straight from RC into TB it automatically plugs the map in. I have a blank photogrammetry project folder so when I need to do another I already have the baking plane and folder structure setup.

I found it was a bit tricky moving back and forth and rocky terrain with the tripod. As you can see, I kind of zig zagged like a drunk man. I have 4 wooden blocks I put at the corner of my scanning area and am thinking about putting a marked string between the 4 as ref when moving to stray straight.

Anyway, happy with my first finished scan. Planning to keep practicing for fun.
